Raz de Sein

Travelers with a liking for adventure must visit Raz de Sein, part of France that translates as ‘storm within’ in English. The infamous water stretch experiencing opposing currents has held a mysterious attraction among tourists. The Isle of Sein at one side and Pointe du Raz at the other Raz de Sein is part of France’s Brittany region. The Western part of Brittany is a hub among holiday makers. There are multiple sand dunes apart from the tapering light houses and coastal cliffs that bring visitors to this strait. You can get a close look at the thirty mile connecting link between English Channel and Atlantic. Marine landscapes are plenty as you pass the seas.

Although a nightmare for the local mariners who get bountiful fishes in the Raz de Sein, this place is well known among tourists for enchantment. Passing from the embankment when it is calm is preferred, as only heavy vessels can pass through the violent currents of the tides reaching up to six knots in spring. Fierce storms are regular part of Raz de Sein apart from strong currents. You can see water towers, bell towers and light houses as you navigate the sea. Lighthouses have an air of ambiguity and Raz de Sein has many lighthouses erected under incredible weather conditions. Legendary Lighthouse at Armen stands sturdy on rock of 1.50 meters height. Stories about the lighthouse keepers always have been popular.
